Eliminate monthly cable modem rental fees with the AC1900 Nighthawk Dual-Band Cable Modem Router from Netgear. This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

I’ve been using a rented Comcast router that has been giving me trouble for years. After replacing it twice I finally decided to buy my own. This modem is AMAZING. Compatible with Comcast, super easy setup, and is crazy fast. Ethernet and wi-fi connection. I also had trouble figuring out one of the buttons (my own fault) but their customer service was very nice and the call took less than 5 minutes. More than I could ask for! If you need a new modem, I highly recommend it!

I have only had this 9 months and the power adapter is bad! Most all the other netgear products have lasted longer than that. Very disappointed. When it worked it was fine but apparently you have only 90 days for a warranty. These products just don’t hold up like they used too.

I bought the ac1900 two weeks ago and I can see the difference. Our wifi range has improved and we have faster speeds for select devices. This is thanks to the ac1900 having two frequency bands for you to long into. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz are the bands mentioned. The 2.4 gives you longer range but not full speed internet. The 5 gives you the speed but it’s a shorter range. All in all loved the purchase.
