Eliminate monthly cable modem rental fees with the AC1900 Nighthawk Dual-Band Cable Modem Router from Netgear. This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

The AC1900 Nighthawk fit perfectly within my budget. My need for upgraded equipment to help with my work-from-home position came on quickly. This item is replacing a modem and a router and I find it much easier to deal with just one piece of equipment. The C7000v2 pretty much set itself up with my Xfinity service and I was working at a faster more consistent speed in less than 15 minutes. Don’t hesitate if you need an upgrade. This is a fine piece of technology that will take me into the future, no matter what my job’s needs.

We replaced a rented router modem with the Nighthawk, and it is working as promised. Installation was very easy. The only change I have noticed (which may be due to our ISP, not the device) is the occasional lack of resolution certain graphics (mainly emojis and images on social media), which began after installing this device and changing plans to a slower internet speed.
