This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

I used to have this modem and it worked great. I had xfinity 400 mbps but after xfinity upgraded my plan to 600 i only receive around 270 even though my modem says 968. I cant call them because netgear charges for technical support. If anyone knows please tell me why im getting lower speeds i am pretty good technologically and have done everything but speeds remain the same and when i rent xfinitys modem i get full speeds

Super easy to set up and go! Easy to login into it and see what’s connected to the network. My only wish is that you could rename connected items (maybe you can and I didn’t dive in deep enough)

This modem really good and it’s range is what I am impressed with other than it does what it’s meant for, going with 4 start rating for the Nighthawk app which is not covering the basic things that Network genie was doing . I had more control on the devices connected which I don’t have now with the new app. This needs to match with network genie or do better better than that. Rest all good.
