This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

I had pretty bad experience with the previous modem router I had. Very recently I am shifted to Netgear AC-1900 modem plus router, and this has lifted my wifi usage experience to an upper height. I regularly use 6/7 devices that require wifi – and I can now do it very smoothly. I can select any of 2.4G or 5G wifi in my home with this netgear one. It also provides a guest wifi. All these wifi passwords can be modified by the me any time – which is an outstanding option. So far I am fully satisfied. Hope I don’t need to check any other modem/router from now.

I upgraded to the Nighthawk AC1900 and noticed how better my internet strength and speed became. It was important to get a router / modem that I could get over 600 mbps internet as well as the signal I needed to reach my office/computer in my basement. I work from home and need a strong signal to reach my basement for ongoing meetings and zoom calls. I have been really impressed by the Nighthawk and i highly recommend to anyone looking for a change.

After Xfinity set up the wifi I called Netgear to set up the Modem/router. After that was set up we still had trouble. Two hours of troubleshooting with Netgear and it turned out Xfinity did not check the cable going into our apartment. Can’t thank Netgear enough for their patience in getting us set up!
