Eliminate monthly cable modem rental fees with the AC1900 Nighthawk Dual-Band Cable Modem Router from Netgear. This device combines a modem and a router to provide you with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your home or office. Setup is simple as it’s equipped with one coaxial port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac devices will also be able to connect to this device on the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Once configured, you’ll be able to achieve speeds of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz connection and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. These enhanced data rates ensure you can stream HD content, download large files quickly, play online games, and much more. The Nighthawk also provides a wide range of security features, including a customized URL to set up a personal FTP server, separate guest network access, Wi-Fi protected access, double firewall protection, and denial-of-service attack prevention.

We bought the new router/modem to replace our older NETGEAR equipment, since we needed more signal strength and bandwidths. I’m not a techie type person but found it easy to replace and set up and works with Spectrum service. You’ll realize just how many devices run using the router/modem. Changing to new password on devices(tv’s/ blink and ring devices) takes most of the time, but has been well worth it so far, with no issues. Second NETGEAR device we purchased and recommend it to friends

One of the easiest setups I have ever experienced. My other cable router was piling up error messages and needed to be recycled way too often. Using Comcast as my ISP and was able to be back online within 30 minutes of initial power-up. Fantastic speeds, this is “user friendliness” as its best.

Item malfunctioned and has a weak wife signal. Had xfinity come and inspect and test my system and product just did not last. Just a few weeks past warranty. Would have been better sticking with the rental modem. Will not re purchase. Net gear really should replace malfunctioned devices such as this case.
