Having an integrated modem may also save you money over the long term by helping you to avoid device rental fees. The system also includes one satellite to create a unified network, supporting up to 40 devices and covering up to 5000 square feet while delivering 4400 Mb/s transfer speeds over the 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz frequencies for smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences as you move from room-to-room. Wired devices such as computers, smart TVs, and video game consoles can be connected to the Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the router or satellite. You can quickly set up, manage, and monitor the mesh system using the Orbi app, and your wireless network is protected by both WPA3 encryption and an optional Netgear Armor subscription.

I purchased this NETGEAR Orbi WiFi DOCSIS 3.1 Mesh WiFi System with Built-in Cable Modem expecting installation and setting up would have been a nightmare, but that was definitely not the case. It was pretty much plug and play. With the app it was so simple to set up. I put the main unit in the bedroom and the other in the living room. The speed is fast even though I have around 12 devices running at one time.

08 Aug 2021 – First of all, the built-in cable modem simplifies set-up since there are no extra cables and no extra space is required. Once my set-up was completed, with the main unit upstair in my study, and the remote unit in our family room on the first floor, every device was completely covered. Thank you!

I’ve had the Orbi router for less than a week and I have lost connection to the internet at least 5 times. When it’s connected my internet is very fast, but it disconnects frequently. The only nice thing is that I can reboot the router from my phone which is convenient.
