The system also includes one satellite to create a unified network, supporting up to 40 devices and covering up to 5000 square feet while delivering 4400 Mb/s transfer speeds over the 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz frequencies for smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences as you move from room-to-room. Wired devices such as computers, smart TVs, and video game consoles can be connected to the Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the router or satellite. This product makes Xfinity internet service tolerable. Great speed and coverage. However, there are no parental controls. Given the price of this product, it should have the basic features of lower priced products. I’ve contacted support more than once. I get vague assurances that parental controls are coming. Three months now – nothing yet.

The Netgear Orbi CBR750 is a future proof cable modem/router with WiFi 6 technology capable of handling 42 devices at lightning speeds. Adding satellite units to the modem/router will create a mesh network and increase your internet coverage. However, I was not able to obtain the 1G speed over WiFi that I’m receiving from my ISP (wired 925 mbps, WiFi 780 mbps). I’m currently working with Netgear to solve this issue. Finally, the Orbi apps ok but could use some improvements, eg. show WiFi speeds on speed test. The test only shows hard wire speeds which could be easily confused with WiFi speeds. Overall, the Orbi CBR 750 is a solid unit and I could definitely recommend it.

Issues from the beginning. The connection will still occasionally drop out with only a few devices connected to the wifi. Unfortunately, not as good as we had thought despite much research.

Love my new Orbi CBK 752 best Wi-Fi ever, signal is excellent throughout my very wide 1 story ranch which has been a struggle for many routers love that it consolidates your equipment with an awesome Docsis 3.1 modem built right in. As someone who recommends this to my customers and friends I can attest that any negative reviews are user error and not the products fault.

First off, let me say how skeptical I was about what the true performance of this cable modem/router 1 satellite setup would be. The reviews I read just seemed too good to be true. And my townhome has 3 levels throughout which to spread the wifi magic, a challenge for which my Arris Surfboard was just unable to meet. The further I got away from the router, the download speeds would drop drastically, making it difficult for my wife to work in the office and making me wonder why we were paying for all this promised speed. I tried plug-in extenders which improved things somewhat, but the long distances and numbers of walls/doors/stairs and other obstacles to my 5 GHz signal just seemed insurmountable. That is, until I got the Orbi! The cable modem / router is where the Arris lived previously on the first level, and the satellite is on the third level. My download speeds up there are nearly as good as they are next to the router, and better yet, I’m getting slightly in excess of the speed I’m paying for! What a game changer! It’s been stable, no dropped connections, and the app is fantastic. It saved us from having to open walls to run Ethernet around the house. I’m really satisfied, and at least in this instance, I got what I paid for!

I have been needing a new combo wifi/router unit for awhile. I ket doing research and everything out there is so confusing. One site calls 1 item great then another site called it bad! Reviews from buyers were similar. I finally chose this Orbi and we have all seen a difference in our service and internet pages/gaming and are very happy! We have had for a few weeks so I cant say anything on its durability or customer service buuut our previous Netgear combo was pretty great and we never had any issies with it. Only changed it because our internet provider made changes and our combo unit didnt support it. Only negative so far is that it is big and bright lights in my bedroom! Im still very pleased with it.

The Orbi modem has completely fixed the spotty (and frustrating) coverage in my house. Pretty easy to set up – even though Comcast/infinity is STILL annoying and adds an unnecessary step.

Going from a surf board to the orbi was such an easier installation process. The surfboard combined with an outdated router started lagging and losing signal. With all of our devices connected, the orbi router does not lag and will allow you do connect multiple devices at one time. I can game and the family can stream and play on their phones. Wish the price was a little lower, but overall easy set up and wifi does not lag!
