This mesh Wi-Fi kit features a router with an integrated DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem that works with most major U.S. internet service providers, supporting up to 10 Gb/s download speeds and 1 Gb/s uploads. Having an integrated modem may also save you money over the long term by helping you to avoid device rental fees. The system also includes one satellite to create a unified network, supporting up to 40 devices and covering up to 5000 square feet while delivering 4400 Mb/s transfer speeds over the 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz frequencies for smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences as you move from room-to-room. Wired devices such as computers, smart TVs, and video game consoles can be connected to the Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the router or satellite. You can quickly set up, manage, and monitor the mesh system using the Orbi app, and your wireless network is protected by both WPA3 encryption and an optional Netgear Armor subscription.

I bought this and Netgear say’s Xfinity supports this and I see reviews from people using Xfinity BUT Xfinity DOES not support this on the west coast! Please call Xfinity before you buy.

I recently purchased it because I wanted to upgrade to a mesh system and found that this unit is strong enough for me not to have to add a satellite quite yet. I also like the auto 2.4 to 5G switching. I would have given it 5 stars but I did loose some transfer speed over my old routers 5G but I have since ran Ethernet to the unit and it’s great. I would highly recommend.

Replaced the traditional Modem/Router wi-fi with extenders. Wi-fi was always a little spotty and hard to handle a household of 5 people and all the wireless devices. As soon I hooked up the Netgear Mesh system, we could see a HUGE difference in speed and connectivity. This is a total game changer and highly recommend.

Very easy to set up and use. Worked well with my Spectrum account. Did have one issue once when the Router reset itself. But, all I needed to do was go to the app on my phone and set it up as if for the first time. No problems after that.
