Having an integrated modem may also save you money over the long term by helping you to avoid device rental fees. The system also includes one satellite to create a unified network, supporting up to 40 devices and covering up to 5000 square feet while delivering 4400 Mb/s transfer speeds over the 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz frequencies for smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences as you move from room-to-room. Wired devices such as computers, smart TVs, and video game consoles can be connected to the Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the router or satellite. You can quickly set up, manage, and monitor the mesh system using the Orbi app, and your wireless network is protected by both WPA3 encryption and an optional Netgear Armor subscription.

This is truly an easy setup! The app is very intuitive and gives easy insight to all devices on your network. The coverage is better than expected, I use one satellite and my coverage extends to my neighbors. The added Armor security is a great add on that provides continuous security checks. I highly recommend this for the DIY type.

Purchased to replace my old Netgear router. After working thru the setup, system performs well so far. The Orbi app needs work. Installed on my Samsung S20 Ultra, tried to use to complete the system setup, but ended up moving to my laptop. App starts up, connects to router, but keeps reverting to a “Connecting to Wi-Fi” page which never ends. I have to close the Orbi app each time. I’ve removed the app from my phone, and use my computer to do anything with the router.

Overall great product as advertised. Set up is very easy. I chose the manual set up instead of using the app which was quicker in my opinion. The security settings are top notch too. Will recommend to others.

This is my second Orbi mesh system. This model has the cable modem built-in, which is a game changer. After Xfinity got their updates installed, adding the mesh routers was easy.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that such an expensive system has ZERO parental controls! That’s right, none! Even our super old entry level router/modem has built in parental controls. This is unacceptable and especially at this price point. We will be returning and going with one of the other brands who have robust free built in parental controls

All 32 downstream channels 9dBm , 40dB SnR consistently. 10s of thousands uncorrectables all the time. Have to reset modem 5-6 times daily to maintain internet access. As experiment, went back to old modem for 5 days, did not have to reset once. Clearly not cable wiring issue. Getting rid of this combo unit ASAP. Waste of $$

Finally sprung for a Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi system. Boy, was it worth it!!! One, yes one, only one network SSID throughout my house. I have a fairly large home so that was very important for me. No more extenders, different network names in various parts of the house…fantastic. A quick call to Spectrum and was up and running in 5 minutes. I replaced my excellent Nighthawk router because it just did not have the coverage I needed. Lastly, I definitely picked up additional internet speed with my Orbi mesh system.

I just bought a house and needed a wireless solution. Thought I would spoil myself with some mesh wifi 6, and it wasn’t terrible to justify knowing it would pay itself off in 3.3 years compared to renting. The app took about 5 min to download and set up. Setting up the modem/router was simply plug and play and following directions on the app. The satellite connected in a few min and every thing seemed simple. Took about 20 min. It’s been a few weeks and all my wireless devices have had no issues. I have done multiple speed tests and all the devices are getting the speed I’m paying for. I am a happy customer.
