My last Modem was from NETGEAR and I refused to try any other brand. I will stick or stay with the NETGEAR brand because it is a good company. NETGEAR backs their products. The NETGEAR staff have been extremely helpful. If you need help with installation, call NETGEAR if you need it, however the instructions were user friendly. We were able to connect the NETGEAR modem with a little help. I am so glad the NETGEAR modem was purchased. We are getting better and fast service than we have ever had before. I plan to tell all of my family and friends about this NETGEAR Modem. We appreciate NETGEAR, and have been impressed by the NETGEAR Company. Upgraded our internet speed with Comcast to 500mb/s so I needed a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. This modem was reasonably priced and has been very reliable. This modem is connected to a Netgear R7000 router so I have never used it cabled directly to a PC, but on the wired connection of the router speeds have been over 500mb/s, close to 600. Highly recommended if you are looking for a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem.

This is a modem only, meaning no wifi at all. If you want to ue this, you will also have to spend an addition $100- 200 to get a router with wifi capabilities.

This modem is awesome. I had an Arris Surfboard SB6190. This modem was less than one year old . Found out there was a class action lawsuit against Arris on this unit but they continue to sell it. I was having all kinds of problems in the house with anything that used the internet and spent a lot of time trying to find out why. I was paying for 300 gbps and only seeing less then one third of that. Changed out to this new Netgear Docsis 3.1 , CM1000v2 modem and my speeds jumped to 300 and over. No more Arris modems for me ever again. And I will be dumping the Arris modem in my other home as well. Netgear rocks !!!!!
