The modem which I was leasing from my ISP (for a ridiculous monthly rate!) was NOT Docsis 3.1 compatible, despite being their, “latest and greatest.” What that means is that it was physically impossible for me to ever get the gigabit download speeds for which I was paying! After installing the Netgear CM1000 (which was very easy, even for an amateur like me) I’m now getting my full gigabit! 10/10 Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.
