I would highly recommend this modem to anyone currently unsatisfied with their internet’s performance. Coming from the literal lowest end model I could buy around a year ago, I decided that I wouldn’t settle for less when preparing to move all work and school online for my household. Purchased the CM1000 to replace the provided Spectrum modem. Modem works great with Spectrum. Installation was quick and easy. I have not had any connection issues or losses. I pay for 400/20 speeds. I now get around 460/23 with the new modem. The lag is much lower and solid connection is near perfect. I am using modem with the Netgear XR1000 gaming router. Absolutely enjoying the modem.

Netgear makes great stuff, and this is no exception. I’m very happy with this and it looks nice as well. If you have a 1 gig connection, you’ll need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem to fully realize your speed. I recently upgrade from a Netgear 3.0 with 24 channel bonding and my speeds went from 700-750Mbps to 850+. I have reached up to 938Mbps several times. I’m using this with no issues on Optimum, and it will connect without a phone call. A bit expensive, but worth the cost!

This modem replaced my internet service provider’s cable tv router/modem w/voice that had the been reduced to just a modem for the internet over the last few years as I eliminated the other services. Then I realized that I was not getting anywhere near the download speeds (250Mbps) I was paying for and knew it wasn’t because of an overburdened router/modem or my Netgear R7800 X4S router. So I replaced the router/modem with the CM1000 and lo and behold happy days were here again! My expected download speed was not only achieved but exceeded as well on some days! Setup was a breeze even though I still checked in with my provider just to make sure everything was as it was suppose to be. The CM1000 coupled with my R7800 does not only satisfy my needs presently but will also do so if I need to make the jump to 1Gbps download speeds in the future. I certainly do recommend the CM1000 to anyone who desires “the need for speed”!

This speeds up your internet connection significantly. Much cheaper to own this than to pay the cable company a monthly fee. If you have an older Netgear Wifi router, it does have some issues with knocking the router off line.
