I was using a cable modem from my cable company and I had a hard time getting a good signal in my basement and game play kept lagging now I have this netgear modem and problem solved and no more rental fees

The Netgear CM1000 router is easy to set up and configure. It has increased my upload and download speed dramatically over the Zoom I had. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a real step up in performance.

This modem gives you all the top technology to give you the best internet your provider can give. Only 1 output port so it is best to be paired with a NETGEAR router for more connectivity, but it will provide everything you need otherwise.

Does exactly what its supposed to! I route my traffic with Freebsd so this was all I needed. My bandwidth is capping around 945Mbps down. It seems to handle it well. I haven’t had to reboot it yet so that’s a win.
Rosetta Satterfield (verified owner) –
worked just fine until I started having a problem with my internet provider.
Candido VonRueden (verified owner) –
Had not upgraded in many years. Did a test and found very low speeds. Upgraded all our hardware to Netgear and are now getting the internet speed we pay for. Setup was simple too. Cost was a little higher than others, but seems to be worth it so far.

A great surprise. My decision to purchase the CM1000 was a smart decision. The bonus was all the additions that was added by replacing the generic one from Spectrum. Very Happy with Netgear Nighthawk.

I bought Netgear’s CM1000 modem to match my new 1 Gbps service from Comcast. It is easy to set up. I get around 950 Gbps with a computer directly connected to the modem. I matched the modem with an R6700v3 router. I get up to 690 Gbps on a direct ethernet connection, and 300 Gbps on my iphone wifi 3 feet from the router. I have a Cisco SG-24 switch connected to the router, and get around 90 Gbps from outlets connected to it with ~40 feet of cable. Quite a drop from 1 Gbps, but a big improvement over my previous setup.

Modem broke in less than a year and then the support is horrible.

I like my own equipment and not renting. When I upgraded to a higher speed, I was informed by provider my current modem wasn’t up to the increase. Got my Netgear CM1000 and called to activate. Had it running by the end of the phone call and now I have a modem to handle many more speed updates in the future!

I’m very pleased with this modem. Our old modem (Motorola SB6120) had become obsolete and wasn’t allowing us to experience the full 250 Mbps Comcast plan we were paying for. Enter the NETGEAR CM1000 modem. This modem gives us a little more speed than the plan we’re on. We consistently get 253 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload. Besides that, it’s a DOCIS 3.1 modem, so we’re good to go if we ever wish to increase our Internet plan.

It does what its supposed to and does it well. Great modem.
Caleigh Bechtelar (verified owner) –
Whole house coverage and, as I discovered yesterday, even reaches the garage across the yard. The modem itself is fast with no hiccups.

Purchased a couple of weeks ago and have had 0 problems. Works great and as advertised.

I’m really happy with my purchase; it was exactly what I needed and my network connection has never been this good, despite owning other high-end modems as well.
