I replaced an older Surfboard 6141 with this Netgear CM1000 32×8 modem. I was not getting the internet speed I was entitled to with my ISP provider of 250Mbs. I was having frequent loss of connection issues during Zoom calls with multiple participants with my old modem and now the connection issues have stopped. The setup and connection of the new modem with my ISP was easy and the signal and speed is solid. I am using a older Netgear AC1750 router and I am getting over 275 Mbs speed now on a consistent basis. Very satisfied so far.

Got the Modem to replace the cable company modem. Was not getting expected 1GB speed (not even 50%) during troubleshooting the Modem stopped communicating from my end to the ISP, but the ISP could still see the modem. Contacted NetGear support and in 10 days have not made any headway in getting it fixed.

Switched my old Arris modem to the NETGEAR CM1000 on my Xfinity network that supposedly had 200 mbs. My speed went from 95 Mbs to 238 Mbs immediately. Could not believe the change. Helped immensely with my IOT devices with the Orbi Mesh Network router attached. Recommend this to anyone needing more bandwidth who may still be on older modem.

This Netgear Modem is great. I did a speed test and hit 890Mbps which is insane! One thing to know is that it is non wireless. You will need a router if you have more than 1 wireless device. It was worth every penny though. I recommend getting a router anyway, it will improve a lot. Ditch your company rent boxes and get this!
