Plugged in and connected to Cox cable. Setup instructions from Netgear walked me through setup with Cox Communications. Plugged in my Nighthawk Router and was in business. So far a strong and reliable connection. First time I have been able to take advantage of the advanced speeds I am receiving from Cox.

So one phone call to B&H Photo and 168.76 including tax – easy to set up, then call in the MAC Number to RCN, it’s up and running, thar’ she blows! Because I upgraded my IPS plan to 1 Gigabit service, I got this modem to replace a CM500 (DOCSIS 3.0 which still works great) . My ISP only broadcasts 16 channels and even though the CM1000 can handle 32, with the CM1000v2 I routinely get 960mbps. I have had all Netgear equipment for a long time and never had a piece fail to work well. I would definitely buy again.

I have a CM1000 for over a tear now it is paired with a R6700 V2 wireless router. The combination works very well with the cable access, The only problems are with the cable company. I average 8 connections on the router with two being wireless. The wireless is almost as fast as the wired on average throughout the house. I thought about upgrading to a CM1100 or CM1200 and could not see any advantage in doing so at this time. I would recommend if buying a new router go for the AX versions they are will worth the cost. pair them up with a cm1000 and 1GB internet service.

Great looking router. Unfortunately can’t deliver speeds up to 1000mbps. Purchase xfinity 450mb bandwidth and this router can only pass 210mb before connecting to the rest of my network. Called netgear and they immediately said it was defective. Returned the router got another one from the store same results.
