Replaced my Docsis 3.0 with this Netgear 32×8 Docsis 3.1. It was one of the recommended units by Cox, if you were not buying theirs. The hook up was easy and instantaneous. We experience faster download and upload speeds continually with it, and the speed increase is verified by several different internet speed tests we have run.

My Netgear modem wouldn’t connect to internet. Had cable company come and check line said no issues that modem was bad. Called Netgear since unit still under first year warranty. Tech said that from what he had me do it was not a hardware problem. Said I needed to buy a service agreement so I could talk to a higher level Tech. Well I decided to buy a Motorola modem. When plugged in and it immediately connected to internet and has been working beautifully. Should not be so difficult to return a defective product.

Recently upgraded my internet from 200-400 mbps from Spectrum. Early speed tests had different numbers from different devices (hardwired or wifi). Spoke with Netgear support and they helped me troubleshoot the issues. I know doing this was a process, but it was worth it (40 min later). It drastically changed the numbers and now consistently have the same numbers at near 500 mbps (hardwired), a little over 450 (wifi), upload at a constant 23. Keep in mind I use the Netgear router R6700axs. Great pair together. Now my streaming on all platforms are always clear, no lagging. Have had this for 2 weeks. So far so good.
