I purchased this modem to speed up my home network and it’s been great, I also added a netgrear AC2350 nighthawk and its great, it was easy to install. I had initial gone with another brand on sale and it was horrible, but the netgear router paired with the modem has been an awesome combination. thank you netgear for a reliable product.

We cut the cable cord last spring 2017 from Comcast – except for their high-speed internet service. We purchased the NetGear CM1000 for this was one of the fastest modems and was on Comcast’s ‘ yes’ list. We made right choice. In addition to our house being hardwired (CAT5 & 6) we are primarily WiFi throughout. We stream all of our TV’s and internet with very little to no lag. Sure, depending on the weather and other things out of our control – streaming and internet access can bog down, and when that happens – we plug in and go hard-wire. This thing is stupid fast and we coupled it the NetGear NightHawk X4S R7800 Smart Wireless Router which is crazy fast too.
