I’m currently using this with a nighthawk router and am getting 250 mbps, paying for 600 mbps, and they are both advertised to get up to 1 gbps. There’s likely blame in netgear’s electronics, or firmware, but they won’t do anything to address it. Only two stars because it still works.

I did a lot of research before buying this modem and even then I was still hesitant to buy it. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and I love it so far. Speeds are higher than the plan I have with my ISP and so far I haven’t had to reset it for any issues. Definitely a good purchase.

My Comcast Technician spent 6 hours trying to get my cable internet system up & running (A for effort), but… after he finished he told me I had a bad unit & would have to get it exchanged… After rechecking his install & correcting the mis-connections, it works great! He had my LAN Switch configured in between the modem & the router…. I set it as per the NETGEAR instructions: Input-Modem-Router-Switch-Devices & I’m NOT an expert…. Evidently a bad day for my Comcast Tech (???)…. NETGEAR equipment working Great! Highly recommend, but watch your install Tech closely!

Bought this at the beginning of work from home/covid shutdowns to self install new internet service at a new address since old service said it would be two weeks before they could make it out. Took about 5 minutes to activate and this thing has been outstanding since. Delivers 100% of the speeds I am paying for paired with a strong Netgear router.
