A single cable modem/router module was capping my gigabit internet speeds (xfinity). I needed to upgrade my internet setup to support gigabit internet, which means buying separate modem and router machines. This Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 was super easy to setup and delivers on it’s speeds. I haven’t run into any stability or reliability issues yet. I did have to call customer support once for an issue that ended up being something my ISP needed to fix. Customer support was pretty friendly, helpful, and patient.

This modem worked great for 4 months, then it started dropping connection. It started doing it once a week, then over the past 30 days it does it several times a day. If you read reviews on the internet you will see this is a known issue.Why Netgear does not fix this is a huge fed flag. Why do they continue to sell a product they know is defective? I am waiting fora replacement now, if that one does the same thing I want my money back, these things are not cheap. I this Netgear is skating on thin ice here, they are not doing the right thing for their customers by continuing to sell this junk product.
