The modem received amazing reviews everywhere. Writers at tech mags touted its power, capability, and NetGear’s reputation for high quality. Thus, I didn’t mind investing if the I’m getting the best. The problem – it isn’t the best for the price point. Hardware has failed a little after the 1yr warranty. Apparently, other people had it worse than me. Obviously, I was happy when it was working, I’m upset only after a year the hardware failed. For this price, although 1yr warranty is industry standard, I expected better from NetGear. I’ve been without a modem for a week with good faith they will return my call and rectify this issue. I hope NetGear see this as a company shortcoming and will want to do right by its customers.
