I had a CM1100 and I contemplated a long time whether I should upgrade or not since my Comcast plan supported 1.2 GB per second downloads and I wasn’t optimize for that speed. What I can tell you is that the investment was well paid off. Just when you thought your Internet was fast you ain’t seen nothing.

Easy to set up and bring online with my ISP. So far, it has been pretty stable and providing good speeds. Upload speed meets the expected level of my ISP, but the download speed is lower – we are working with our ISP to troubleshoot, but does not appear to be the modem.

The Netgear CM2000 works great, but @ MSRP it is overpriced. Even when on sale it is still fairly overpriced compared to the competition. Consider the Motorola MB8611 as a cheaper alternative.

The modem was fast for the brief time it functioned. Before long it fried itself. It could not be reset, firmware is unavailable to consumers so it can’t be repaired either. Netgear’s support acknowledged they hadn’t addressed my ticket yet and then automatically closed it because they require you to regularly prod them to keep your ticket open. Otherwise, it’s assumed resolved. Absolutely miserable experience. Loving my new Motorola modem.

Like the title says, fastest cable modem I’ve used to date. No issues getting it to work with my service provider and very reliable, but I do find that I need to completely unplug, disconnect the cable, and reboot it at least once per week when my speeds drop literally to 1/10th of what they are at peak performance. I blame that on my service provider throttling me on my unlimited data plan, but unplugging the modem seems to fix it every single time so?!? Anyway, still the fastest I’ve used when at its peak performance.

This modem was very easy to setup with the help of NetGear techs. They even helped me setup my router that was not NetGear. My internet is speeds have increased on the downloads and uploads. So far this is a great modem.

After 3 yrs my CM1000 modem died or wasn’t keep it up all the device connected to my internet. So we replaced it with the new one cm2000. let’s just say my Wi-Fi speed went up(900 mpbs) also I’m using with Wi-Fi 6 orbi system . Btw I got over 20 devices hooked up to my Wi-Fi at all time that includes security cameras,TVs computers, laptops, kids tablets, phones, 2 Xbox… list too long lol. So Cm2000 and orbi system holding up like champ. Very Easy to set up.
