We purchased the CM2000 because of its speed rating to take full advntage of our local ISP’s advertised cable speed. Also, our older CM1000 was having issues with reliability and needing near daily reboots. The new equipment is very fast, and dependable, both needed for two work at home professionals using Zoom video conferencing daily. Expensive, but nice product.

Using with WOW internet service and a pricy Netgear router. Worked fine for one year but one year and one month all lights were flashing and no connection to internet. So many post online about this problem with no fix that works.

I have had this modem for a few months now to upgrade and take advantage of higher speeds and it keeps dropping the download signal. Sometimes is every day, sometimes its every few days and then I have to reset the modem. Not sure how to fix this as I never had this problem with my previous modem – I am on Comcast if that helps.

Modem failed after 20 days and at this point it has been 10 days of horribly delayed back and forth with support asking me to do pointless tests. Nothing will recognize the modem even connected to it, but they still wanted me to ping it. Then they wanted me to make sure I did not have a static ip and ping it. Now they want me to make sure I have a static ip and ping it again.

The installation of this product was the easiest in the 30 years I have been doing the work. (In minutes, the system was running.) The modem performs flawlessly, even in an apartment building with 35 years old coax. The modem is barely warm (every other modem I owned got hot) so I am saving money on the electric bill. I bought two of these. Follow the instructions to setup exactly how it’s written out. When I went to activate it with my service provider they had me do a power cycle, the product immediately broke. Returned it thinking it was just a bad unit, it immediately happened again. I called Netgear and their only advice was to bring the product back and get a THIRD unit and call them first. I was not going to risk breaking a third modem just because Netgear makes fragile products. Went with a different company and immediately worked, no issue. Either fix your instructions for setup or make more robust firmware.

I had the CM1200 which was a good modem. About eight months into owning it. It started dropping signal. Then it would allow my router the Orbi to get the speeds I was getting. So, I contacted Netgear they were able to figure out it was the modem. While waiting to figure out what was the issue and waiting on the new CM1200 to arrive. I started reading up on the CM2000.I read other reviews as well. I decided to buy it even though the CM1200 would be here the next day. I am 110% grateful I did. It was a great modem. Plus my speeds had increased greatly as well. Buy this modem you will not be disappointed. I have Spectrum gig internet. And I have no issues at all.

this modem was an upgrade from my very reliable, still working Arris SURFboard SB6141. There was some hassle to get it running at its max glory. It was working for 14 months, but it suddenly stopped working. I troubleshooted but i could not revive it. I got a Comcast tech at home to make sure it was not something wrong with my connection, but connection was good. i was without internet for 3 days. I purchased the Arris SURFboard SB8200, and my wifi speed is faster than it was with Nighthawk, the better it i paid almost the half of the price for this gem. I had never to change Arris brand modem, they are reliable. basically, I spent more money than i saved from paying Comcast because if this faulty modem. i do not recommend it.
