Installed quickly and relatively easily. Comcast “forgot” to disable my old modem and enable this new one over the phone, but the tech that came out got it going immediately. Assured me this modem is great and, after several weeks, I agree. No issues. VOI (phone) is great. Hope it lasts for years, like my old NETGEAR.

Runtime options are fairly minimal. External UI is worse, can’t really determine its status from across the room. Super tiny icons, LED colours are all white, equally spaced, no groupings.

Two defective units in a row, claimed to be supported by my cable provider but they could never get it activate. If you want a home phone, you’re better off doing voice through a VOIP provider and doing internet only if you’re in the Optimum service area. Netgear first claimed they supported this modem for any cable provider and later backpedaled when they couldn’t get it to work saying it’s only certified for Xfinity. Optimum claims it’s officially supported but couldn’t get it to work both times claiming the modem was defective.
