The EAX20 is designed to work with existing 802.11ax Wi-Fi routers to extend wireless coverage, transferring data at up to 1800 Mb/s over the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Upgrading from a traditional network to a mesh system creates a seamless, unified network that uses the same Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as you move from room to room throughout your home. Equipped with two powerful internal antennas, the EAX20 uses MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to communicate with up to four devices simultaneously, helping to ensure reliable and fast connections for streaming 4K videos, playing online games, and more. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for connecting wired devices such as computers, video game consoles, smart TVs, and more.

I used this extender for 5 days and had so many issues. It took too much to update the firmware. It wouldn’t update through the app, so I had to connect my computer to the Ethernet port, download update and update the extender manually. Once it was updated for the next 3-4 days I got several notifications on my WiFi that many network attacks were blocked and the network attacks were on the net gear device. Never had as many issues with attacks until I used this product. I immediately unplugged it and now it’s just sitting in a box. Not a good or secure product at all.

I got this item because I had moved into a new house and my computer was a great distance from the location of our new router. I was having trouble even streaming basic videos on youtube or Netflix. After getting this item set up, which was fairly easy to do through the app they have, I have no problem even playing extremely taxing games like Warzone with 4 other people using the wifi at the same time. Additionally, it doesn’t only extend the wifi signal, it actually boosts the signal for the entire house, as all of us saw our internet speeds increase after I finished the setup. Definitely a great purchase!
