Turn your wireless network into a mesh system using the Netgear EAX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wireless Mesh Extender. The EAX20 is designed to work with existing 802.11ax Wi-Fi routers to extend wireless coverage, transferring data at up to 1800 Mb/s over the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Upgrading from a traditional network to a mesh system creates a seamless, unified network that uses the same Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as you move from room to room throughout your home. Equipped with two powerful internal antennas, the EAX20 uses MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to communicate with up to four devices simultaneously, helping to ensure reliable and fast connections for streaming 4K videos, playing online games, and more. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for connecting wired devices such as computers, video game consoles, smart TVs, and more.

I have deployed many WiFi extenders both professionally and personally. Everything from cheap unknown brands to ultra high end. Netgear is by far the best in terms of performance and value. They don’t lie about their stats, I’ve actually seen them under-sell them selfs on a few models. I recently replaced my old n300 (which was able to handle 30 devices on my home network) to a WiFi 6 enabled model. Now I’m getting ridiculously fast WiFi in every corner of my 3000 sq ft house (outside too!). Best part is it’s all on the same network name, no switching to the _EXT when I walk to far from my router. It’s amazing and I love it. I will exclusively purchase Netgear going forward… speaking of, I have my eye on the new Nighthawk 12-stream RAXE-500 WiFi 6E at the moment to replace my cheap spectrum router with.

Unit works great, easy to set up wirelessly and delivers strong output. It has 4 ethernet ports to plug into for streaming high quality. Increases internet speed for those dead zones. Highly recommend this extender as I very seldomly have buffering issues, if I do, it is for only seconds and does not reoccur. Thanks for resolving the issues I once had!

The extender had a small problem recognizing my cell phone during set up but with a little effort it all worked out great. The range is better and I was able to move my home office to my garage during Covid “work at home” conditions. I conducted business as usual thanks to the increased range. The only reason for the one star drop is the small issue with integration to my existing network, could be improved with APP.

I had some problems with the setup. The setup app would not recognize my router’s WiFi passwords. Once the setup was complete, everything worked like a champ. Both my wife and I were on separate Zoom meetings with no freezing or unstable connections. The extender works better than I had hoped.
