Turn your wireless network into a mesh system using the Netgear EAX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wireless Mesh Extender. The EAX20 is designed to work with existing 802.11ax Wi-Fi routers to extend wireless coverage, transferring data at up to 1800 Mb/s over the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Upgrading from a traditional network to a mesh system creates a seamless, unified network that uses the same Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as you move from room to room throughout your home. Equipped with two powerful internal antennas, the EAX20 uses MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to communicate with up to four devices simultaneously, helping to ensure reliable and fast connections for streaming 4K videos, playing online games, and more. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for connecting wired devices such as computers, video game consoles, smart TVs, and more.

The EAX20 is a good mesh extender. But eventhough it says AX…when I try to use the DFS channels, the extender cannot see that band range. That is why it cannot use the maximum speed of the DFS channel.

Received this device and was able to set it up in just minutes near the router. Took it to the other end of the house and for the first time we had wifi and have been able to connect all our devices including a PS4 which we were able to stream on successfully. Great device.

I bought this to extend my Ring cameras that were challenging my router. Did the trick. Furthest one is about 50 feet away outside and I am getting a good signal. Definitely solved the problem and highly recommend. One note – when you are setting up your Ring Cameras, turn the extender off as it causes problems. Once you set everything up, it takes few days for the Ring cameras to fully engage with the extender. Be patient. It eventually happens. PEACE.
