Turn your wireless network into a mesh system using the Netgear EAX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wireless Mesh Extender. The EAX20 is designed to work with existing 802.11ax Wi-Fi routers to extend wireless coverage, transferring data at up to 1800 Mb/s over the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Upgrading from a traditional network to a mesh system creates a seamless, unified network that uses the same Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as you move from room to room throughout your home. Equipped with two powerful internal antennas, the EAX20 uses MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to communicate with up to four devices simultaneously, helping to ensure reliable and fast connections for streaming 4K videos, playing online games, and more. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for connecting wired devices such as computers, video game consoles, smart TVs, and more.

I am living in an apartment on my family’s property for school. So I got the wifi extender to hopefully be able to get Netflix out there so I can have some tv. And it works great for that. I can’t use the tv and my computer at the same time or it is way too slow. But other than that it works great for being so far away from the house. And it was super easy and simple to set up.

With such a simple setup process you’d assume functionality would be a no-brainer. Too bad it wasn’t. It would disconnect from my router and when it reconnect my hardwired Arlo camera base and my Samsung phone would be

I have this upstairs next to my room while the router is downstairs and the download speed with 5G is fantastic both wireless and wired. My only issue is that upload speed can be a lil iffy but it isn’t horrible to really complain about especially when gaming.

The Netgear WiFi 6 Mesh Range Extender works well in open areas that are not far from the router, but if there are walls or doors in the way it’s performance dramatically drops. The improvement of my WiFi strength was barely noticeable as soon as I stepped into my home office and closed the door, which was of course where I was hoping to see improvement in the signal strength. I will be trying an Access Point instead.
