Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

If you want the best this product is it. My whole house 3150sq ft is all covered and works without a glitch. Installation was easy and once you install forget about it. The wifi6 option is really good for devices that have wifi6. I use my samsung s20 note ultra that has wifi6 and it works way fast. Highly recommend this router for any one with isp plans 500mb or higher.

With two kids home doing remote learning, we needed more bandwidth. Prior to install he could only muster two bars of signal from the weak school-issued Chromebook. After simple installation my son noticed an easy doubling of speed and signal strength to his Chromebook. Critical to this was the ability to run hardwire cables from one of the four available Ethernet plugs on the back of the wifi extender right to his Chromebook. He also hardwired in his gaming computer and got a 50% improvement in graphics speed, making a huge difference in his gaming and VR play. Moving all of his devices onto the wife extender also gave the rest of the family more bandwidth to work with, increasing our speed as well. With three gamers and me working from home sometimes, this wifi extender definitely packs a punch. Overall, a great product that works very well for us.

I bought this as an extender. I put it half way between the router and living room. My Amazon fire tv was buffering quite often. It has not buffered once since I installed my nighthawk WiFi 6. It has only been a week but it seems to be doing the job. I am not a tech guy so the hook up was a little harder than I thought it would be. But I got through it.

I bought this unit to solve a connectivity issue I was having with my current wifi extender. My office is upstairs and I was getting connectivity dropouts when both my wife and I were in Zoom meetings at the same time.
