Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

Works great as a access point, not so much as extender. Waiting on new cable modem router coming soon to match up with this extender and Use this extender as intended. Great with IP cameras. A little lag on gaming. Good range inside home and front yard, not so much in back yard.

Very easy to set up. I strongly suggest mesh extender in same room as router. It will save you a lot of time. I have it hard wired to laptop in another room. Consistent speed as if in same room as router. The app really helps to monitor your setup.

I have an XR 1000 upstairs. Needed a little more range downstairs where all my streaming devices are. Works perfect especially if you have it plugged in directly to your streaming devices through the ethernet wires. The only problem I have is still doesn’t reach one of my ring cameras in front of my garage the range isn’t that good.

Bought the WiFi 6 Range Extender to cover our 5,000 ft one story house. Modem is in my office at one end and put the Range Extender 3/4 of the way to the back of the house. We are now able to use 5g reception for the entire house. And a solid 2g on the outside patio and front porch. Easy setup with the cellphone APP. Took a day for me to figure it out and test the best spot. It is rocking now! Thanks NETGEAR !

I used it as a wireless extender for a little before hardwiring it back to my router. Both methods offered great coverage, but obviously hardwiring is full proof. Great extender!
