Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

I set up everything next to my router I start testing for 1 he but for some reason the 5 freq was half of my speed 2.4 was almost the same . Do I recommend this product ? Depending on your needs. For range is great but for speed was a disappointment. I always have nighthawk equipment never give bad reviews this one is the worse review I ever give to the nighthawk . Why I dont return because I setup alot of divices on that extender and I really dont want to start over. Lol

The whole house is running smoothly and download and upload speeds are crazy fast! If you can pick one up I highly suggest you do it has made me realize what my wife is SUPPOSED to be!

It’s working very well in my urban home despite many other nearby WiFi networks and late 19th century construction that often undermines WiFi range and performance. I had some false starts on setup which was probably my fault, though it’s fairly straightforward and easy to manage both physically and via the Nighthawk app along with my XR1000 router.

This extender is a decent one. It supports mesh mode. It does sometimes lose connectivity to wifi 6 or the usb devices connected to it and needs to be frequently restarted. This is annoying. Other than that, it is a pretty nice unit and works well.

I would purchase this Range Extender again. Setup was easy and the massive range this Extender provides is phenomenal. My complex has fairly thick walls and my router was having problems penetrating them, leaving me with a weak signal. After installing and setting up the Extender, my signal now extends past my apartment and goes a few doors down. If you need an extender, this is definately the one!
