Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

The range and connection speed is no joke. Legit and won’t regret!

Setup was entirely easy. Well, almost entirely. I can only get this to work while connected to my modem by Ethernet. Won’t work wirelessly

Covers the weak wifi signals in the house. The entire house has access to Wi-Fi 5ghz and 2ghz.

I ended up re-registering my nighthawk extender after a router upgrade. I’ve actually used the extender for over a year and it works well with all the obstacles our house has for the signal to get around. I do wish it covered the area a little better but like I said… obstacles. A good product nonetheless.

Recently purchased. It was super easy to setup and solved the issue in our home of the wifi dead zone.

Strong WiFi connections in a basement “shadow zone” where previous extenders were inconsistent or weak. Overall a breeze to set up. Very pleased with this addition to my network.

I work from home and my PC was not near enough to my modem. So I purchased this in order to make the hard connection and the download speed was way better than i expected

Bought this device for as router a long way from home office. needed to wire it as an access point which was ultimately successful but the instructions are poorly written and the online support from a NETGEAR partner was long and arduous and cost $. So far it is working but cannot determine the range of the added wifi.

I upgraded extender and also router. Coverage is excellent. My old extender was hit and miss. My new router is the Nighthawk wifi 6 router. Both new units working together and giving me the needed coverage.

After trying several extenders, I finally have wifi coverage throughout my old house with plaster walls. It seamlessly connected with my router and I love the Nighthawk app!

Great wifi extender, I like how I do not need to have a separate wifi name to connect to

I can tell you how pleased I am more speed is always better?

Most of the times it provides stable signal, but sometime it stays off for a while without broadcasting any signal and takes time to pick it up again.

Easy to setup and performs great just wished you could hook a printer to the usb port

Had been having issues with excessive buffering with TV. Installed EAX80 and noticed far less buffering than before

Extended the coverage as stated. Boosted the signal. Works!

As far as I know everything works great. I really havent seen an increase in wifi signal, as the EAX80 was added to my mesh system.

I purchased two of these initially with one serving as an access point and the other serving as the extender. However, the channel for 802.11ax kept getting automatically changed and connection speeds were dropped so I had to return one so I got a router which I switched to AP mode. Sadly, I’m seeing consistent issues with it losing connection, not recovering, and on devices connected via wired connection DHCP issues. This could be a good product, but these issues need fixed.

Product does not work well, with AC spec routers. Terrible upload/download, through put is basically non existent.
