Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

Has meshed easily with my Netgear ax12 router. improved all my cams and video feeds on the opposite side of my house from the router. Love Netgear.

Note: I have a nighthawk router. I hardlined my wifi extender from the router. I did set up new wireless access points on the wifi extender. The UI is a little clunky using the genie desktop app and even the nighthawk app mobile app. Like it shows the connection is there for me as an extender. But some functionalities that I would expect aren’t. Plus it just recognizes the extenders as devices and ip or Mac addresses. Which just doesn’t make sense to me on the network map.

I recently purchased the Nighthawk Extender and it was an excellent purchase. It provides full coverage in and around my house and supports my outdoor theater. It is easy to setup and I cannot be happier!

Was having issues with quality of service in the front of the house and due to limitations of where to place my nighthawk router I had to find a solution to extend the network. I chose the nighthawk range extender as should be easy to install. It was a seamless install took all of 5 minutes and solved my issues while keeping my network secure. Great product I highly recommend this extender.

After setting up this device as per the NightHawk app, whenever it is on all the networked devices in our house start to loose connection.

So far the unit has been very helpful. I have a Nighthawk x10 that provides coverage for the entire home, it does a pretty good job. I do have a dead spot in the basement and low-signal in the kitchen. Kitchens and baths typically have a mold/water resistant drywall which wreaks havoc on a wifi signal. I installed the EAX80 in the basement under the kitchen and it helped. Boosted signal dramatically and increased download speeds from ~40mbps upto ~150mbps.

OK, I’m a slow learner. I bought an EXA80 range extender and it worked great for 6 weeks and then died. So I figured maybe I just got a lemon so I returned it and bought a second one. Same deal, it died in 8 weeks!

Reaches out to a barn camera 200 feet away from my house . I have tried other extenders that could not come close. Great product !

in the beginning the app does not work very well for the eax80, but after reading the manual and the support paginga, it was super easy I recommend configuring the extender and installing it through the browser. it super easy and you save time. the rax200 worked perfectly through the app and i recommend you scan the router QR before installing rax 200 but I am happy with the quality of the products and performance

Too much speed lost between direct wired connection and WiFi. Up to 250 MBPS. WiFi is almost 400 less than incoming speed.

Had a great deal of trouble establishing a connection because I made the mistake of using WPS with it when the Cable Modem/Router/Wifi CAX80 was setup as WPA-X. It just wouldn’t work until I did a factory reset which I found instructions for in a KnowledgeBase article. Once I did that, setup was smooth albeit slow. Be patient with the Nighthawk app. It will work fine but wait for solid feedback that each step is complete before hitting Next!

Connecting devices to the extender can be difficult with an existing router and resolving this would be helped with better documentation.
