Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

After following the instructions precisely to set up the EAX80 Extender, it has worked very well for my purposes. I wanted a stronger WiFi signal for streaming in the basement where my new TV is at. The WiFi signal was adequate before; but now the signal is stronger with better response.

I purchased my EAX80 to extend the coverage of WiFI6 inside my home. I have it connected via ethernet to a NETGEAR RAX120 router, so it is in access point mode. It was easy to setup, is easy to manage from either the web interface or through the Nighthawk mobile app. I have been able to get very good speeded throughout my house.

Bought this extender to replace the EX8000 that I have over a year and half (it quit working). Had it for over a week and so far it is working okay. The set up using the Nighthawk App was little bit complicated – I had to reset the extender to redo it before it recognizes the extender. The unit looks stylish. Hope this one will last longer than the older one.

I bought the Nighthawk extender to improve wifi signal to a new office space we had built in our back yard. Set up was quick and easy. Once I had it connected to our router, speeds improved from 5-10 mbps to 250 mbps. That is 35 feet out in our back yard and through a couple of walls, so I am very happy with the results.

That so stupid ! The router has no function to schedule connection time for all connected devices. It works only for router itself ! And for schedule them I must install the terrible Circle app with a premium features for $50 for year…Netgear, cmon, really ??? I bought this device for incredibly high price and should pay again ? I’m disappointed !

was a reasonable extender, my internet connection speed on the router is 479Mbps but on the extender it was 270-326Mbps which was better than the 90-120Mbps i was getting without the extender. Since i had a wire option at home i returned the extender and bought an additional router and set it up as an Access Point (AP), now i have full bandwidth through the house

I recently bought NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh Range Extender (EAX80) to get wifi across my large house and wow, I’m so glad it did! This thing works great! Manages for push access across 6 big rooms on the floors it’s on, upstairs into 4 rooms including an 2 outside decks, AND the entire huge basement through 2 thick concrete exterior walls to my outside patio. I’m thrilled with what this thing can do. Oh and the extra ports are very handy. If you have a large space with hard to reach areas, this is the wifi extender you need.

This does a good job, but there needs to be an incoming port for an Ethernet cable for scenarios where you have a cable present for a more reliable extension. Also, the marketing email with this company is EXTREME! I’ve turned off my preferences and I still get some.
