Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

Excellent Product! I had no issues setting this up on my iphone app. Can this be done on windows PC? I did find older devices that did not work on the 5GHZ connection speed. Should I still use both 2.4 GHZ for all devices? Does it know which devices use or must each device be configured separately on the router? any way I do see videos working much better on this extender than the linksys one had before. highly recommend this!

Great Extender but sometimes stops broadcasting SSID.

The Nighthawk was easy to install, the instruction were simple, and it connected right away. It took me no more than 15 minutes tops.

I live in a 2100 sq ft home and shouldn’t need an extender however I purchased it with an AX6000 WI FI6 router/modem combo and it didn’t do anything and my speeds actually slowed down. I returned it after one week.

I tried to get this to work with my Nighthawk R8000 router which is in AP mode. It was an easy setup but it caused Wifi problems actually slowing down my devices as they connected. Not worth the money for me. Took it back to the store for a refund.

Our router is not located in the most optimal place, so getting the Nighthawk has allowed us to utilize our WiFi all over our residence. Couldn’t be happier with the it, as well as the ease of installation.

Easy to setup and connect. Speeds are fast in all rooms upstairs now.

Works as advertised, made a hopeless WiFi signal come back to life.

works , but not very good range , my older netgear extender worked much more seamlessly, extremely hard to install

The extender really doesn’t work. It constantly disconnects from our wifi and then it is unable to locate the router. I’ve had to “reinstall” 3 times and I’ve owned this less than 3 weeks.

2 Story concrete block 4,500 sqf home. Netgear Nighthawk 6 router is in the basement, extender on the main level. No dead zones anywhere, full signal everywhere.

The EAX80 was super easy to setup. The EAX80 seamlessly extends the WiFi range. It is transparent to your devices whether they are connected to WiFi router or EAX80.

This wifi extender is very easy to setup, even for a non-technical person. The performance is great, signal range is great and updating firmware/software is a breeze. I’ll be recommending this one to anyone that needs a WiFi 6 range extender.

Paired this with a Netgear AX8 router and our 6500 square foot home now has strong signals everywhere and can accommodate six adults studying, working, and participating in video conferencing at home without any difficulty. And in the off hours, we have had multiple flawless streaming signals to keep us entertained. I highly recommend these Netgear products.

I have the RAX80 router but needed more coverage so I purchased the EAX80 range extender. The EAX80 was recognized in my Netgear Ap and simply followed the setup steps. Now we get fast and stable connections throughout our home and backyard.

It works with my router and the speeds are reasonable. I like that it has 4 ethernet ports. Wifi 6 is nice. At initial setup, it did not work very smoothly. It is working ok now. The range extenders software has a lackluster of features I wish there were more. Overall, it is a good product.

Unit has strong WIFI, but without Ethernet backhaul it is only a very expensive AP not a true Extender.

The EAX80 extender does not function properly. It loses 5Ghz connection within an hour constantly. Longest I have ever had it running is a day. That happens only if I disable 2.4Ghz and all advanced features (AX, OFDM, etc). STAY AWAY!

Works great extending my network from my router in the basement to all the upstairs rooms and don’t lose internet as much. I would definitely buy again.
