Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

it works ok, but some devices i get errors than if i used my wired wifi. for example, the disney and paramount app do not work, only in a web browser

My devices would connect some of the time and disconnect at random not a steady connection when I was sitting 10 feet away from it thought it was a great idea to get that and the new stuff IX12 big mistake should have kept the old stuff that had better signal and range

I have 3500 sq ft loft and the best wi-fi router that Spectrum offered me was not sufficient and half of the floor had barely any signal. After adding Nghthawk I can use my internet in the fathers corners of the house and I have not problem with the strength of the signal or buffering. Really great product! Recommended.

If a device is off for a period of time when you turn it on there is no internet. I then have to reset the device to get internet every time

I am using this mesh range extender with my Nighthawk router. I am on a Fiber internet service and it was not functioning as it should because of weak signals until I used this Netgear Wi-Fi setup and have gotten excellent results. I live in a rural area and signals are weak but I am happy to say this is no longer a problem.

These range extenders are incredibly powerful. It took a few resets to get them configured correctly but I was able to connect 2 EAX80s to a Starlink modem without any problem. I chose to hardwire them but you can just as easily configure them wirelessly. Before even mounting and placing the equipment the range extender was dishing out almost 900 Mbps over wifi which is completely insane. They have a huge range as well. I can pickup a signal at the house, garage, shed and 300 feet farther out to the end of the driveway. I’m definitely happy with the purchase.

After purchasing the Nighthawk Wifi 6 Mesh Range Extender, I didn’t realize how soon my wifi range problems would not only be resolved, but eradicated for good! This was by far one the best investments I could’ve made for my household. I now have high speeds on all my wifi devices no matter the area in the house. And since this particular extender came with Ethernet ports (which is unheard of and I am so thankful for) I was able to hook up my Xbox One in a more convenient place via Ethernet cable, sooo…. NO LAG HOORAY!!! I highly recommend this particular product for those who have seemingly large homes such as myself, or if you have ANY dead spots in whatever household you may have! 100/10 on this for me! Thank you so much for your product @Netgear.

The unit fired up, but would not stay online. After a long setup time, app displayed that it was working fine, only to discover that it disappeared from available connections. Reset, same issue. Netgear does not have a direct help line.. you have to send emails. Not for me

I had actually set aside an hour or so to set this thing up the day after it arrived. First though, I figured I’d give it a quick try. The thing took about five minutes for the full setup. This includes boot time, LOL. OK, I admit it, true plug-and-play actually HAS FINALLY arrived.
