Enhance your 802.11ax Wi-Fi coverage by using the Netgear EAX80 Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender to create a mesh network. The Nighthawk AX8 has four internal antennas and works with your existing router by using the same network name (SSID), allowing for seamless switching between devices as you move without having to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network. Compatible devices can reach speeds of up to 1.2 Gb/s using the 2.4 GHz band and 4.8 Gb/s across the 5 GHz band, allowing for reliable high-speed connections for streaming 4K video, playing games, connecting smart home devices, and more throughout your home. OFDMA technology allows for optimized data transmission for up to eight devices at the same time while four-stream MU-MIMO support enables up to four 1 x 1 devices to stream content simultaneously.
For those who haven’t upgraded yet, this range extender supports previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired devices such as smart televisions, computers, and video game consoles. There is also a USB 3.0 port to connect compatible storage drives and share photos, videos, documents, and other files across the network. Downloading the Nighthawk mobile app allows you to configure the Nighthawk AX8’s settings.

I have a very large area that needs coverage. I purchased a Nighthawk router as the main router and then purchased 2 EAX80 extenders. They were very easy to setup and I was able to fully cover a 3 story 7,000 sq. ft. house. Having the SSID on the extender the same as the main SSID was a main feature for me. I would certainly buy this product again.

Needed to extend coverage for my Nighthawk AX6 router. After a false start with another brand extender I purchased the EAX80. The coverage and performance are outstanding and I would highly recommend this extender to anyone experiencing WiFi coverage issues. I only wish I would have first started with the EAX80 and saved some frustration and $$.

Used this extender with the Nighthawk CAX80 running 1200gbps Xfinity mainly due to many nearby Wi-Fi signals in the neighborhood bringing down my signal strength. I tested both the speed using 6 online speed tests and also using Netspot to measure the signal strength. Both greatly increased with the addition of the extender! Great for multi-floor homes!

I put the extender in our barn that is located about 15 feet from our house. The EAX80 extended our range and improved our Wi-Fi reception and speed. It made a big improvement on streaming of our Fire Stick which we couldn’t get to run without buffering prior to installing the extender. We haven’t had this issue since installing the extender.

After a few initial hiccups, the Netgear Tech team assisted me in completing my mesh network setup..this included an RAX80 router and an EAX80 mesh extender. I now have strong wifi in all areas of my 3000 sq ft 2 story home (and when we finish the basement and add another 800 sq ft/3rd level of living space we will be adding another EAX80 mesh extender to juice the wifi of that new space as well. It’s an amazing gadget it does what it supposed to do I know the price it’s a little high but I think it was worth it I love it I’m using it with my nighthawk mesh network MK83 and it’s working fantastically thank you NETGEAR. I also want mention that I haven’t had any problems with my equipment.
