It took me two tries to program it but I was able to do it without the help of my kids. The extender allows me to use my devices any where in my home. I have this setup in direct view of the router that I need to boost the signal from. The devices that I connect to it are a computer, Xbox and PlayStation. None of these devices will stay connected to the extender for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. You typically have to reconnect them manually as they won’t automatically reconnect. The devices I’m connecting are approximately 10-12 feet from the extender with 2 of those devices being in direct view of the extender without any objects between the devices and the extender. I have used extenders in the past that worked flawlessly, unfortunately I can’t say that for this model.

My opinion is that if you are having weak signal give the ex3700 a shot it helped me getting better signal in my basement . With my router being on the first floor.

I bought this extender to help me get service back in my bedroom. The device requires a 2.4 signal and the extender has 2.4 and 5. Unfortunately the 2.4 is it working and thus the purpose has been defeated. That’s my review

The main reason I bought this extender was to replace my last one after that unit failed and could not be manually reset due to the website no longer functioning. Not only is the NetGear extender a recognizable brand, which ensures the basic availability of tech support and resolution, the extender was so easy to set up and works fantastically.

This product was really easy to set up. The wifi itself reaches the second floor which is great because the router is in the basement. Since there isn’t a lot of foot traffic, we get great reception upstairs for gaming and our mobile devices. Great purchase and definitely will recommend this to friends.
