This product is simple to set up and worked flawlessly right out of the box.

Save your money, this isn’t as user friendly as it should be. It’s quirky once setup but not worth or without trouble. WPS can only disabled by disabling broadcast. Can’t disable the LAN port. Really, it only consistently works with multiple SSIDs, rather than just mimicking the existing SSID. Ultimately not worth it for advanced home networks (DHCP/AccessControl). Oh, it also has you annoyingly setup a NetGear account prior to setting up the extender. Do yourself a favor and see if you can improve/reposition the existing AP rather getting this to extend the range.

I had no problems setting the WiFi extender up and it works as expected. Good investment.

out of the box easy, great way to extend your wifi
Pierre Beier (verified owner) –
It has really boosted my Wi-Fi signal and I no longer have drops or freezing on my Netflix
Kaitlin Ratke (verified owner) –
Not hard to set up at all and did give the signal to devices outside of my wifi original reach. Really happy with my purchase to the point I purchased a second one for a relative!

Now that I am working from home it puts a larger strain on the wifi signal. I purchased this extender so that my fiance can stream TV upstairs whilst I work downstairs. It works perfectly and provides a consistent video experience instead of the buffering it was doing before
Walter Veum (verified owner) –
Setup was really easy and in no time my Roku in the back bedroom was showing excellent instead of fair and speed went from 8mps to 30mps. Works great for me!
Chesley Grimes (verified owner) –
It was a good idea, but my Ethernet port didn’t work. I was able to connect wireless which was good, but I needed the Ethernet cable hookup

The first year, it worked like a charm. However, after 15 months, it started acting weird. The signal of 5.0 is inconsistent and lost eventually. The signal of 2.4 is inconsistent but doesn’t get lost. Each time I make manufacture reset, it works great for 2 ~ 3 weeks and then same thing happen. However, the range is great and consistent.

The wifi range extender does exactly that – extends the wifi signal. The router is upstairs and before getting this extender, streaming downstairs was a buffering nightmare. Now the console is hardwired into the extender and there is virtually no load time and certainly no buffering.

Setup was confusing because my laptop wouldn’t connect to the extender. I spent a long time trying to find articles to troubleshoot. Finally I realized I needed to set it up through my iphone. There was nothing in the instructions that allowed for the possibility that this could happen and therefore no guidance. As far as it working, I guess it seems ok. I can’t really tell any big difference yet. Will have to give it more time.
