The extender works as expected. Pretty easy to setup as well. My router/modem was setup in the basement with my computer two floors above it, preventing consistent internet access. Putting this on the floor in between allowed for video streaming/gaming without my internet cutting out

I found the unit difficult to setup however when I left it alone for 24 hours, it eventually connected to my home network. Once connected, I moved the unit to the room where I intended to use it (about 18 feet from the router with only one hollow wall between it and the router). Once in place, required another 24 hours to find the network. When finally connected the performance was not as good and I expected. I was able to hit the internet through the extender but the poor signal I get from the router is actually faster than the extender.

I have it for a long time, for maybe more than five years. It just keeps working all these years. As I forgot my admin password as I never needed to login, I did a factory reset. Then firmware upgrade and re configure. So I am frankly impressed plus I can’t believe it’s still available as a current product.

Setup goes well if the instructions are followed exactly. The resultant signal is very strong even in the outer fringe of where this unit can receive the router’s original signal.
