This extender duplicates your existing channels but with different names. So, instead of having two channels (typical) you will now have four. But the instructions never simply state that. I tried to make it do what the name implies — extend existing networks but it doesn’t do that exactly. And our equipment doesn’t shift channels automatically just to get the stronger signal, so you have to choose again. I find that annoying.

The set up didnt work with the WPS, but did with the laptop. after connected the wifi range remained the same even after moving the extender closer to my room. also the wifi was slow, my 2g was faster than the 5g extenders wifi.

It is very easy to setup the extender for WiFi but the WiFi speeds are not great. I have 1 GBPS WiFi connection and was expecting at least 300 to 400 MBPS from the extender but it gets me about 100 MBPS tops.
