easy to install, range extended through walls to exterior workshop 20′ from outlet in house. unit seems to go on standby and takes a moment to be recognized. post-setup-i can’t figure out how to access my account to change the password. when attempting, netgear cannot find my account. i imagine if i had enough time, i’d be able to navigate. knocking a star off for an otherwise excellent product (would have been half a star if permitted). got this on sale for $27 tax. would purchase again.

I tested it on both extender and AP mode. In both cases it dropped the download and upload speed by %75 and I was testing it in the same room with my router connected to it wirelessly and via ethernet cable. My speed test shows 310 Mbps when I don’t use this extender and it immediately goes down to 80 Mbps when I connect to it. This is ridiculously unacceptable.

Tried this extender to get me a better signal at the other side of my home. After trying to connect it for four hours and an hour on the phone with support I gave up because the couple of time I was able to connect the transfer speed was only about 15% of what I needed. Each time I moved the extender to another location in the house I had to go through the entire setup procedure again. Plus I have to log on to my Netgear online account to be able to make changes.
