With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

This thing is amazing… In pair with my nighthawk it’s fabulous I have 1900 sq ft house router is in basement and the mesh extender is in kitchen have 100 percent coverage everywhere in house and out side for good 200 300 ft around.. easy set up

Simple hookup and deployment of the ex7000, setup with the wizard was simple. Down side throughput was reduced by almost half when connected, would still recommend for its simple setup.

Have Cox 300 Mbps internet and see 340-ish wired to Netgear X4S router and almost the same wireless near that router. across my house I saw only 60-ish. Added EX7000 extender with latest FW update 35-40 ft away across the house and got 210-ish. Then connected EX7000 to router via Ethernet and reconfigured as MESH-AP and now see 340-ish near the EX7000 and 210-ish 20 ft from that AP in the far corner of the house.
