With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

I own a Netgear r7000 and I wanted to complement it with an extender, so I bought the EX7000 and I have to say that I am very happy with this product now my Wi-Fi has a strong signal all over my house, and I love the one Wi-Fi name feature.

I started out a bit skeptical of wifi extenders based upon the advance research that I had done, however, once I hooked this up, its’ effectiveness was immediately apparent. It changed a weak signal into a strong signal and suddenly we had great TV in a back room seventy feet away from the router. It is a superior extender, no ifs and buts. I can vouch for that! See for yourself! And no, I haven’t been paid to say so!!!!

I use internet in my shop which is across my yard and with my house modem, I couldn’t connect. Since I am now using the NetGear EX7000 WiFi extender, I get full bars of WiFi. I stream music all day with out a problem! I would recommend this extender to anyone needing to extend their WiFi.

Easy to set up and good the first day or two. After that we had some issues with connection. We noticed that if the device was moved that’s when the entire internet will give us issues not just the extender. Now that we solved our own issue of having the kids not move the device it works good.

Very happy with how far it extends. We have a 4000 square foot 2 story home and I just started working from home and my upstairs office would not receive our Wi-Fi signal. I have purchased 2 of these extenders. Both eventually stopped holding the connection with the Router. I have an AC1900 Netgear router with a strong signal. They worked great together at first then eventually became unusable. I purchased a second one thinking it might be a hardware issue but the second one stopped working as well.
