With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

Works great for what I needed. I have to use wireless internet for multiple computers in my home. My modems wireless signal does not reach all areas of my house (2,400 sqft). Using this WIFI extender enables all computers throughout the house to be connected to the WiFi signal. Easy set-up right out of the box. I would definitely recommend.

I use this extender to get a stronger wireless signal out in my garage. I is easy to setup with your existing home wireless and the narrow beam forming ability to combine 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz into one stronger signal does give a more powerful signal.

Bought the item a little over a year ago it’s been giving me issues here and there by disconnecting from my WIFI and acting on it’s own. It doesn’t let my playstation connect to the WIFI sometimes so that’s a bummer because that’s the whole reason why I bought it. Nonetheless, it does an okay job when it wants to work.

I love Netgear equipment so when we needed to increase signal strength for our upstairs wireless needs there was no question what brand of extender we would buy. The Nighthawk increased our signal so that streaming from the movie sites became fun again. Before adding this we had buffering and pixeling now the movies load and we get to watch without getting mad. The upstairs computer now has better speed thanks to the increased wireless signal. Netgear is so user friendly when it comes to installation and customer service if you ever have to call is not aggrevating, I’ve never had long hold times
