With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

Setup is complicated, not explained well enough in the instructions and leaves a-lot to the imagination. The setup process for me was trial and error, mostly on the error side and amazement that the product actually worked. So far after the setup, everything has been fine. I hope it continues that way.

The modem/router that Frontier provided for DSL service did not have a good range. The signal didn’t reach much past the room it was installed in and is constantly dropping. Which causes havoc with my wireless devices around the house. I’m using this NightHawk extender as a Access Point. Now I have service throughout my 2000 sq ft house, outside all around my house and even an 85% signal 100′ out to a detached garage & Apt. It was easy to install. So far I’m very happy with this product’s performance and at a cost that was far less money than a mesh unit would have cost.

I had connectivity issues in my home before I had this and this has filled in all of the dead spots from day one. However, it does seem to have issues rather frequently. I will often find that I am connected to the network but with no internet connection available. There never seems to be any indication of a difference on the device so I am not sure what is going on. Still well worth it if you can find it at a discounted price.

I love my Mesh WiFi extender. I now have fast internet in areas of my home where I had an insufficient signal in the past. Best part, no monthly fees that my internet provider wanted to charge for an extender system.

I installed the extender and have been using it for several days. Works just as advertised. The installation instructions could use updating, but everything went smoothly. Using the Mesh WiFi, I am still using the old SSID and password. No need to update all my devices. Definitely a winner.
