With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

I purchased this Wi-Fi extender and was surprised on how easy it was to set up. All I did was plug it in close to my Wi-Fi router pushed a button on my router and pushed the button on the extender and it was all set up. I relocated the extender to my garage so I would have a strong signal somewhere I’ve never had a Wi-Fi signal before. This device is a customer’s dream.

This device is a mesh extender. We have ‘extended’ our existing WiFi network from one corner of the house to the other using the same SSID, no “SSID_EXT”!! I used the WPS feature and the device did the rest. I did have to update the firmware via the app on my phone. Easiest setup ever and it’s a powerful signal. Streaming on WiFi never worked for us before this device.

I have a spot where my WiFi doesn’t reach fully was told the ex7000 WiFi extender would help. I got it put it in 3 different spots where it got good signal and the best it did was boost my WiFi 20gbs download speed and sometimes it didn’t even help at all. For the price and how it performed I wouldn’t recommend it to it anyone.

I own another NETGEAR router (R7800) so the setup was seamless and automatic. Devices nicely hand off from the router to the extender and back. Getting really strong signal (and hundreds of Mbps) in parts of the house were it was barely detectable.

These are awsome extenders. I opted on both installs to use as a hub due to cat 6 at best homes location. It is important to try several locations to get the best home location for the device with phone signal testing. I was more than satisfied with both installs one in a 3500 sq and the other in a 4200 sq. Full service inside of entire homes and we have good service outside also. Setup was also easy. If you need to expand your wiri this is a highly recommended product to use.

it is working as advertised. I gave it a 4 star because for me the instructions were not that clear. Probably my problem, not techy. Other than that, it is an awesome piece of equipment. I tried some other mesh/extender setups and they were crap. This one definitely has the range.

We were having trouble with Netfix streaming. The main router was in another part of the house. Connected the AC 1900 and placed it near the TV. No problems with Netflix now!
