With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

I set it up three times. It would allow a connection and then never sent any data. I had no issue getting it connected to my network but when I connected to it there was no internet available. The support page was no help and just sent me in a series of useless loops. I could never access the support page to see if there was a firmware update. I read that this model had a large number of hardware issues. Put this on your avoid list as a Don’t Buy!

Black Friday I got our wifi extender. We originally wanted the Nighthawk router but it was sold out. My room is the farthest from the main wifi so it gets cut off from streaming and online gaming. So far I love it!!

The quality is much better than other mesh wifi. With 3 antennas make my hole home full coverage. Only cannot keep the same speed internet from original router even 20 feet far in next room. I hope NETGEAR can make the extnder or mesh that could keep the same speed . My router internet is 250mb/s, and this extender is 170mb/s

Our Netgear WIFI would not reach from the front of the house to the back where we have a big screen smart TV in an outdoor room. We set up the extender (a bit difficult but time on the phone with a patient service tech solved the issue) and it provides a strong signal for laptop and smart TV. Multiple connection ports is a big plus. Highly recommended !
