With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 1900Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7000 sports three external antennas for maximum wireless coverage as well as five Gigabit Ethernet ports for a range of network connection options. You can even connect USB compatible peripherals such as hard drives and printers to your network via the integrated USB 3.0 port located on the back of the range extender.

The ex7000 is a good overall mesh extender. However it does have a few flaws, it tends to disconnect randomly about once a day or so for no apparent reason. Range is pretty good, although not as good as my Netgear Orbi system. If you’re looking for a good basic wireless extender the EX7000 is a great choice

I do have to turn off and on in order to get 5 GE. Some devices doesn’t have 5 GE until you turn off extender and turn on after 20 seconds .

This additional mesh extender has improved the quality of connectivity we receive. For a home with mostly smart devices we were having serious lag in service, buffering and constant service interruptions in certain areas of the house. I constantly called the service desk and the support tech would provide a fix that kept us up for the most 2 weeks. Aggravated and annoyed with the service both a new Netgear router and mesh extender were providing I decided to get another mesh extender to supplement my in home network. So far just one service call and since the technician updated the firmware, no problems. I’ve connected with apps I’ve been unable to get to work for almost a year. Definitely don’t regret purchasing this product (AC 1900). It’s providing some WiFi consistency and I’m starting to be more assured the performance is both dependable and reliable. Thanks for a product that does what it says it should do!!

I have purchased this product to extend the Wifi. However i end up using the Access point function as the extender didn’t perform well. Maybe because of distance to my router

Greatly improved speeds and range around my house. My modem is all the way in the front of my house and I placed this extender at the back of my house and it’s solved our issues. My only issue was the installation papers that came with the box had the wrong url for set up. The url needed to set up was routerlogin.net and there was a different url they gave you that is for actually accessing it after set up.
