With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

We got this unit to replace an extender that had finally worn out after 4 good yyears of service. I was very sceptical of ‘wall plug’ units, having had one before that was subpar. However, once plugged in & configured, this unit almost outperformed our router (in terms of range)! Was a little awkward too set up (our error), but once it was up & running it’s been terrific! No regrets!

My wi-fi router is in the front office and reception on the back bedroom tv was ‘inconsistent’ at best. Since installing the AC2200 wi-if extender a week ago my reception has been perfect-no dropped connections!! The quality of the picture has even improved, and so has my cell phone reception!!

I’ve loved this extender for my 100 year old house, it helps move my signal around the faraday cage that is inadvertently built into the walls. That was until the firmware update killed it, I’ve tried resetting it to no avail! DO NOT DO THE FIRMWARE UPDATE and it’ll work great!
