With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

I bought my EX7300 last January to use as a wired Access Point in my 3200 sq home with my Netgear Nighthawk R8000 and I have been very pleased with the performance. I have it located on the 2nd story in a corner bedroom and it provides WiFi coverage for our home media room in the basement, an outdoor TV on our patio and Arlo spot lights on our garage to light up our driveway. The latest firmware upgrade that added the Mesh WiFi capability has worked well and I would highly recommend the EX7300 for extending your existing WiFi coverage.

I have to admit I initially thought this was convenient but it would not provide enough coverage. I went ahead and followed the steps to setup the extender feature. It exceeded my expectations and has turned out to be the perfect solution. I needed to improve the WiFi on an upper level and this did exactly what I wanted.

I bought a wireless security system but it was hard for the outdoor security cameras to stay online, due to a weak WiFi signal. I purchased this product and I haven’t had a problem with my cameras since. I have a brick exterior, so the weak WiFi is understandable. The product is easy to setup, it might take 5 mins at the most, and then you just plug it in. I would definitely recommend this product.
